Christopher Caudwell
(20 Oct 1907 - 12 Feb 1937)
English writer and poet who left school at 15, worked as a newspaper reporter, then launched an aeronautical and applied science publishing house with his brother. He also clandestinely wrote detective novels. He become involved with Marxism, joined the fighting in Spain, and was killed in action on the first day of the Battle of the Jarama Valley.
