Max W. Kraus
(2 Jan 1920 - 7 Jan 1998)
German-American government official and writer who held the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army. He became a U.S. Information Administration official whose posts included that of a U.S. spokesman at the Vietnamese peace talks in Paris and SALT II meetings in Geneva. After retirement, he started another career as a writer.
