John Theophile Desaguliers
(12 Mar 1683 - 29 Feb 1744)
French-English chaplain and physicist who was an experimental assistant to Sir Isaac Newton. Desaguliers used his skills to demonstrate experiments in his own course of popular lectures to non-academic audiences. He investigated electricity, and was an active inventor and engineer.
