George Holmes Howison
(29 Nov 1834 - 31 Dec 1916)
American philosopher and mathematician who is known for his philosophical system of “Personal Idealism”. He began his career as a professor of mathematics at Washington University, and while there, joined the St. Louis Philosophical Society. For the remainder of his career, he turned to teaching philosophy.
