David D. Jackson

American geophysicist and seismologist who is an authority on earthquake forecasting. Jackson has conducted multiple statistical analyses aimed at the probability of earthquakes, especially in Southern California. He is now a professor emeritus at UCLA, where he joined the Department of Earth and Space Science in 1981.
