William E. Boeing
(1 Oct 1881 - 28 Sep 1956)
American aviation pioneer who founded the Boeing Airplane Company. In 1934, Boeing sold his stock in the company, and pursued other interests, including timber, racehorses, and real estate. He volunteered as a consultant to the company during WW II.
