C. Gordon Bell

American computer engineer and author who in his early career designed several of the PDP machines at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) 1960-66, where he returned later as Vice President of Engineering (1972-83), after which he took other roles in the industry. In 1979, he founded the Computer Museum, Boston, Massachusetts. He has published several computer books.
