J. Frank Dobie
(26 Sep 1888 - 18 Sep 1964)
American folklorist, writer and columnist who is remembered as a popularizer of Texas and ranchland folklore. He did not regard himself as a scientific historian, but as a chronicler “of what it was like in past years.”
