G. Tyler Miller, Jr.
(1931 - )
American chemist and author who has written 58 textbooks for introductory courses in environmental science, basic ecology, energy, and environmental chemistry. Early in life, he gave up his research on the corrosion of metals to devote the rest of his life to research and education on environmental problems and solutions. After teaching college for 20 years, from 1975 he made writing environmental science textbooks his full time occupation.
