Edward A. Murphy, Jr.
(11 Jan 1918 - 17 Jul 1990)
American aerospace engineer was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force who took part in engineering design tests during both civilian and military careers. A comment he made in 1949 concerning incorrectly connected sensor wires has been perpetuated as Murphy's Law.
